Kurt Nielsen MD comes to us from Tyler, Texas where he worked as a Family Physician for 25 years in a large hospital system. Dr. Nielsen’s wife (who is also a Family Physician working at TWU Health Center) is a native of Denton and they recently returned to be closer to family. He previously served in the US Army as helicopter pilot before attending medical school after service. Dr. Nielsen’s hobbies include flying (he is a member of Cavanaugh Flight Museum in Addison) and spending time with his wife and children (daughter is currently enrolled at UNT & son is a chef at a local restaurant). He enjoys country living on a small ranch and playing with tractors.
